Little Atlas Diary

Thoughts, walks and the occasional recipe

Starting over with slow travel

February 7, 2026

I keep a short list of things that made the day better, and this one made it. I still have a few pages left to read, so maybe more on this later. By the evening the light was soft and everything looked a little kinder.

There is a bakery on the corner that opens before sunrise, and I have become a regular. I wrote a few lines in my notebook and then simply watched people pass by. I did not plan much this time, and it turned out to be the best part.

If you have a favourite version of this, I would love to hear about it someday. I took the long way back, past the old houses near the water. Nothing dramatic happened, but I came home in a much better mood. It is funny how the smallest routines end up holding the whole week together.

Sometimes the best plan is to leave the phone at home and walk. The first attempt was a small disaster, the second one was surprisingly good. The weather changed three times before noon, which is normal around here. I am trying to write here more often, even if the posts are short.

The recipe is simple, the trick is to be patient with it. A friend recommended it years ago and I finally got around to it. Most of the afternoon went by without me noticing.
