Little Atlas Diary

Thoughts, walks and the occasional recipe

Cooking pancakes again

June 29, 2026

It is funny how the smallest routines end up holding the whole week together. The recipe is simple, the trick is to be patient with it.

A friend recommended it years ago and I finally got around to it. I still have a few pages left to read, so maybe more on this later. I took the long way back, past the old houses near the water.

Most of the afternoon went by without me noticing. If you have a favourite version of this, I would love to hear about it someday. There is a bakery on the corner that opens before sunrise, and I have become a regular. It reminded me how much I enjoy doing one thing at a time.

By the evening the light was soft and everything looked a little kinder. The first attempt was a small disaster, the second one was surprisingly good. I did not plan much this time, and it turned out to be the best part. I am trying to write here more often, even if the posts are short.

The weather changed three times before noon, which is normal around here. Nothing dramatic happened, but I came home in a much better mood. Sometimes the best plan is to leave the phone at home and walk.
